Scholastica Travel offers two payment options to our groups, individual payments and group check payments. With individual payments, trip participants make payments directly to Scholastica Travel.  With group check payments, trip participants make payments to the school or organization planning the trip. The school or organization then sends Scholastica Travel a payment in the form of a check for the group.

Yes. Groups choosing the group check payment option will receive a significant discount on their trip package price.

Yes. Your trip proposal will show a side-by-side price comparison for the individual payment option and group check payment option. Scholastica Travel always presents 5 price categories for groups based on the number of paying participants per bus. You will see these price categories for both the individual payment option and group check payment option.

Your payment option choice must be decided before requesting a trip agreement. After reviewing your trip proposal, discuss your payment option choice with your travel consultant. When you are ready,  your travel consultant will send you a trip agreement for your group trip with pricing that reflects your payment option choice. While your trip proposal displayed the 5 price categories for both the individual payment option and group check option, your trip agreement will only show the 5 price categories for your chosen payment option.

Your choice can be changed prior to receipt of the first trip deposit. If you decide to change your payment option, a revised trip agreement will be sent from your travel consultant reflecting the updated pricing and payment choice.

Individuals can make a trip deposit to Scholastica Travel by check, money order, or online with credit card, debit card, or PayPal.

Scholastica Travel will send group leaders a payment report via email by end of business each Friday.

[/accordion_toggle][accordion_toggle title= “How are online payments by PayPal, credit card, or debit card completed?”]

Individuals can submit a trip deposit on our Make a Payment page. Trip participants will first need to enter their Trip ID. Trip IDs are composed of 5 numbers followed by a capital letter, with no spacing or characters in between. For example, 01000B. The Trip ID can be found in the top right corner of documents received by Scholastica Travel. Individuals will then complete the remaining form information, including the amount of their payment. After clicking “Submit”, individuals will complete their payment in the PayPal payment portal. Individuals will then receive a completion message and email from Scholastica Travel as well as a receipt from PayPal.  Online payments will appear on credit card statements as “PAYPAL*SCHOLASTICA”.

Yes! Your travel consultant will send you a document with instructions for making payments to Scholastica Travel that you can give to parents. This document includes deposit amounts and due dates as well as vouchers for parents to send along with check payments.
