Will your high school marching band be performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Below is a sample 4-day itinerary for a marching band trip to New York City. Don’t forget! We are offering a major discount on band and choral trips this spring.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel before starting your day of touring.

First stop is the Top of the Rock Observation Deck! Take in the incredible bird’s-eye views of New York City.

Then, visit the heart of the city, Times Square. Take time to explore the many shops and sights of this exciting area. Lunch is at a restaurant of your choice. With so many great options, it is tough to choose!

It’s time to experience  Macy’s Herald Square Department Store, the largest department store on the planet! Shop until you drop (or until your  band director says so!)

Before dinner there will be a band director and drum major meeting to discuss upcoming events for the week.

Dinner is included at Carmine’s Times Square.

This evening, enjoy a Broadway show! Students can select between “Ragtime“, “Stomp“, and “Bye Bye Birdie“.

After, return to the hotel to rest for another exciting day.

Talk with your friends about the musical you saw last night over breakfast at the hotel.

Start the day at the American Museum of Natural History.  See if you can find the Star of India, the world’s largest gem-quality blue star.

Stroll Central Park  and find the statue of Alice in Wonderland, the Egyptian obelisk, the Bethseda fountain, and Strawberry Fields.

Lunch is at another great restaurant of your choice.

In the afternoon, experience the famous “Radio City Christmas Spectacular“.  Enjoy the sights, songs, and dancing Rockettes!

Dinner this evening will be included at our hotel. This gives everyone the opportunity to rest up for the early and exciting day tomorrow.

Early morning wake-up calls let you know the excitement is about to begin.

We will start the day with Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade rehearsal.

Music will stay top of mind as you enjoy breakfast at  Hard Rock Café.

Then, it is time for the big event! Perform with your marching band in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

After the parade, dine at a restaurant of your choice at the beautiful Grand Central Terminal.

We will then relax back at the hotel before enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with all of your family and friends who have traveled to New York to support your band.

In the evening,  let loose and have some fun! Tear it up on the dance floor tonight at the hotel DJ dance.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before departing for your final day of touring.

Board the ferry at Liberty State Park, NJ for Ellis Island.

Spend the morning at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.

Then, take the ferry to Liberty Island to view the Statue of Liberty up close! Lunch will be at a location of your choice on Liberty Island.

Once you return to Liberty State Park,  we will load the motorcoaches and depart for home.
