 Chicago Scavenger Hunt

It’s Teacher Resource Monday! Today’s resource is a Chicago scavenger hunt!

See an example of a 3-day customized Chicago itinerary

Increase student engagement during your Chicago exploration with this scavenger hunt booklet! Wherever you go, there is always something to look for and a question to answer. Students can work in teams or individually to answer the questions and find the objects. Each site includes a few fast facts for more information.

Encourage students to take photos (if the site allows) of each object so that they can document what they find! During the adventure, students can tweet their photos to @ScholasticaInc or post on our Facebook page. We love to share their findings with other awesome explorers.

Points are allocated for each object or question. At the end of the trip, students can add up all their points from the completed challenges. There are worksheets throughout to tally the points. Each student or team that submits their scavenger hunt photos and their total points to Scholastica Travel will receive an official Scholastica Travel Explorer Certificate!

This Chicago scavenger hunt explores the following locations:

  1. Download the Chicago Scavenger Hunt
  2. Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge.
  3. Fold
  4. Staple
  5. Explore!
