Fernbank Museum of Natural History ($) – “From the largest dinosaurs ever discovered, to the biggest movie screen in Atlanta, Fernbank Museum offers world of adventure for all ages. Immersive, hands-on exhibitions make science, culture and natural history come alive in a big way!”

Georgia Aquarium ($$) – “With more than 10 million gallons of fresh and marine water and more aquatic life than found in any other aquarium, you are sure to see things you’ve never seen before! The Georgia Aquarium promises wonder and excitement around every corner.”

World of Coca-Cola® ($$) – “The World of Coca-Cola at Pemberton Place® celebrated its Grand Opening on May 24, 2007. It’s the only place where you can explore the fascinating story of Coca‑Cola®”

Stone Mountain Park ($$) – The Plantation at Stone Mountain Park is the perfect place to introduce your students to Georgia history. Here they can learn about Colonial Georgia, Antebellum Life or the Civil War in Georgia. These programs are set among a collection of historically restored authentic buildings relocated from around the state, which date from the late 1700’s through the turn of the 20th century. All three programs are presented by period dressed educators and include interactive demonstrations with artifacts that the students can observe and touch. After the program, your students may self-guide through this historic collection of 18 plus buildings, which are all appointed with furnishings and antiques of their time period. Each program also includes a visit to our Farmyard where students can interact with friendly farm animals while learning about the roles the animals played in the lives of the people. Students are encouraged to explore the many diverse stories about the past while participating in hands-on study for all grade levels.”

Swan House Capitol Tours ($$)  – “The Swan House at the Atlanta History Center was one of many Georgia set locations used during the filming of the movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The Capitol Tour experience includes a guided tour through Swan House showcasing the rooms that were used during filming”

APEX Museum / African-American Panoramic Experience  – ($) This museum is dedicated to African American history and culture, specifically in Atlanta.  Exhibits include “Africa: The Untold Story” , “Sweet Auburn: Street of Pride” , and “The Trolley Theater”

Atlanta Braves ($$$) – Experience the thrill of a Major League Baseball game at Turner Field.

Six Flags® Over Georgia ($$$) – Have a day full of fun at this amusement park.

The Herndon Home Museum ($) – “Herndon Home was the Atlanta, Georgia mansion home of Alonzo Franklin Herndon, a rags-to-riches hero who was born into slavery, but went on to become Atlanta’s first black millionaire. He founded the Atlanta Life Insurance Company.”

Atlanta Cyclorama ($) – “Take a stirring journey through time in Atlanta’s Cyclorama. Sit at the center of a sweeping panorama of the Battle of Atlanta, fought on July 22, 1864, during the American Civil War.  When you visit the Cyclorama in Atlanta’s Historic Grant Park you can also see artifacts of the war displayed in the Civil War Museum and a steam locomotive known as the Texas, made famous by the Great Locomotive Chase of 1862.”
