Despite what that groundhog said a few weeks ago, we’re thinking Spring at Scholastica Travel. We can’t wait for the upcoming spring tour season, which is right around the corner!
Can you believe it? Today we are holding our first of two seminars on “Mastering the Art of Tour Leading” to introduce interested members of our community to the world of student tour leading. We cover the ins and outs of tour leading, the logistics, roles, and best practices from our 34 years in the industry. Should attendees choose, they can join us for a 3-day familiarization trip (FAM) to Washington DC, which takes place this year from February 28 – March 2.
The Washington DC FAM trip is something we look forward to all year and is our informal kick off to the spring tour season. Our office staff, guests, and many of our independently contracted tour leaders come together for 3 days of camaraderie, sharing of expertise, and revisiting one of our favorite places – Washington DC. We collectively refer to our close-knit network of travel professionals as the Scholastica family, and for us, this is our family reunion. We can’t wait.
“I am convinced it is the best job in the world. Where else can you be outside, really dig into history, be with groups of kids and adults and just have the best time ever. I could do it every day and never get tired of it! It also helps that I work for a great company and with many wonderful people, the best in the business. Love them all!” – Lori Salyers, independent tour leader
It is not too late to join us for the tour leading seminar and FAM trip. We still have space available, although it is very limited. Please email jpezze@scholasticatravel.com for more information.
