New York City

New York CityThis March, members of the Willapa Valley Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) took a once-in-a- lifetime trip to New York City. The members were able to fund this trip with the help from community members and small fundraisers. The trip was very exciting, yet educational. The young ladies visited the United Nations, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, Madison Square Garden, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, the Federal Reserve Bank, the Metropolitan Museum, Ground Zero Memorial, Broadway, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown, Little Italy, Times Square, the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Natural History, the Empire State Building and Central Park. The group especially enjoyed the Federal Reserve Bank, where we were able to see over $3.2 million in gold blocks. In addition, the young ladies experienced new cultures and lifestyles and made memories they will cherish forever.
