Immerse yourself in natural wonders, history, science, music and more. This trip does not disappoint! The itinerary below was planned and customized for a school from Cincinnati, OH and can be customized to meet the interests and needs of your school.

Tennessee School  Trip: Day  1

It’s time to begin your adventure! Depart in the early morning for Mammoth Cave, Kentucky

Enter Mammoth Cave National Park. Soak up the magnitude of the world’s longest known cave system, with more than 400 miles explored.

Then, take a two hour guided historic tour of Mammoth Cave.

Enjoy a hearty lunch at a location of your choice.

After lunch, depart for Nashville, Tennessee.

Spend the afternoon at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.  Don’t miss the Hall Of Fame Rotunda and Elvis’ solid gold Cadillac. With over 2 million artifacts in its collection, exhibits are continually being updated and refreshed. You never know what incredible items you will see!

Dinner will be at a restaurant of your choice.

In the evening, explore Nashville. Visit the Music City Walk of Fame!

Then, check into your hotel for the evening.

 

Tennessee School  Trip: Day  2

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel.

Then, depart for Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Arrive late morning. Stretch your legs as you take in the grandeur of Ruby Falls, a 145-foot underground waterfall.

Enjoy lunch at a location of your choice.

After, explore Lookout Mountain and Rock City.  See massive ancient rock formations,  lush gardens with over 400 native plant species, and breathtaking “See 7 States” panoramic views.

Dinner will be at a restaurant of your choice.

In the evening, drive to Atlanta and check into your hotel.

Tennessee School  Trip: Day  3

Begin with a wonderful breakfast at your hotel.

Then, take the  Inside CNN® Studio tour in downtown Atlanta. This is an inside tour of the global headquarters of CNN.

Lunch will be at a restaurant of your choice.

After, take in a spectacular view of Atlanta with the Sun Dial View atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza.

Explore the famous Georgia Aquarium at Pemberton Place®. Georgia Aquarium is home to FOUR WHALE SHARKS!  Be truly amazed by the Ocean Voyager exhibit.

Then it’s off to the World of Coca-Cola®. Try over 100 flavors from around the world in Taste it!

Enjoy dinner is at a location of your choice.

In the evening, watch the water show at the Centennial Olympic Park with Fountain of Rings. On a warm day, playing in the fountain is encouraged and a great way to cool off.

Return to your hotel for the evening.

 

Tennessee   School   Trip: Day   4

Start your day with a great breakfast at your hotel.

Then, visit Buckhead’s Atlanta History Center.  The Atlanta History Center is a unique campus that houses the Atlanta History Museum, Centennial Olympic Games Museum, Swan House, Smith Family Farm, six historic gardens, and the Kenan Research Center.  Take part in “The Price of Freedom:  Causes and Consequences of the Civil War”  program.

Enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choice.

Spend the afternoon at the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic District. This area spans several blocks in Atlanta in a traditionally black neighborhood Here you can visit Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birth home, the Ebenezer Baptist Church where he was a pastor, and his gravesite.

Dinner will be at your chosen location.

In the evening, drive to Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Check into your hotel and relax for the remainder of the evening.

Tennessee   School   Trip: Day   5

Fuel up for your final day of touring with a delicious breakfast at your hotel.

Spend the morning exploring the Museum of Appalachia, a 65-acre living history museum.

Then, visit the Museum of Science and Energy. This museum has the largest exhibition of energy related exhibits in the United States. See live demonstrations, videos, hands-on exhibits and special events!

Lunch will be at a location of your choice.

After, enjoy a guided driving tour of Oak Ridge’s historical sites. Discover the WWII secret city while visiting landmarks and attractions that tell the story of Oak Ridge.

Then, say goodbye Tennessee! It is time to depart for home.

Enjoy dinner at a location of your choice on your way home.

Arrive home in the late evening.
