Marching band trips are experiences that students treasure throughout their lifetime.  Below is a sample customized itinerary for a 5 day marching band trip to Walt Disney World® that is packed with performance fun!

Marching Band Trip to Walt Disney World ®: Day 1

The excitement begins! Your tour leader will meet you at the airport to facilitate all logistics and travel with you to Florida. Board your mid-morning flight headed to Orlando International Airport. Your private motorcoaches will greet you at the airport to take you to the Walt Disney World® Resort and your luggage to your hotel.

Start at Disney’s Animal Kingdom®. Go on a Kilimanjaro safari, take an exhilarating ride on Everest, and watch “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” at the Tree of Life®. Cash is included for each student towards dinner at a restaurant of their choice.

At 8 o’clock, join your tour leader and the rest of the group at the motorcoach to depart for the hotel. Check-in to your hotel and rest up for the big performance day!

Marching Band Trip to Walt Disney World ®: Day 2

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before departing for the  Magic Kingdom® .  Don’t miss  Splash Mountain®, the Mad Tea Party“it’s a small world”®, and other classic Magic Kingdom rides!

Enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choice before meeting the instrument truck at the pre-show area.

Get excited. It is your big debut! At 2:30 PM, march in the “Disney Festival of Fantasy” Pre-Parade. The “Festival of Fantasy” is the new daily parade at the Magic Kingdom®. This parade is packed with huge floats with many moving parts (see the video below), high action, and many of our favorite Disney characters.  Take in the sights and sounds as you march through the park. This is an experience you will never forget!


After your performance, load the instrument truck and get back to enjoying the park! Each student will receive cash for dinner to eat at a restaurant of their choice.

At 10:00 PM, watch the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Don’t miss Tinker Bell when she takes flight over the park during the show!

Return to the hotel to rest up for tomorrow’s excitement.

Marching Band Trip to Walt Disney World ®: Day 3

Fuel up on breakfast at the hotel before departing for Disney’s Hollywood Studios®.  Lunch will be on your own, but cash for students will be provided for dinner.

At this park, movie magic comes to life! Ride the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster® Starring AerosmithStar Tours® – The Adventures ContinueThe Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™Muppet*Vision 3D, and more!

In the evening, enjoy  Fantasmic!

Then, return to the hotel for the evening.

Marching Band Trip to Walt Disney World ®: Day 4

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel before making your way to Epcot®. Epcot® has two worlds:  World Showcase, which features the culture of 11 countries, and Future World, which features technological innovations.

The World Showcase let’s you travel around the world in one day. Experience the 360 degree theater in China, and walk through the courtyard in Morocco. Make time to see one of the many performances happening each day.

In the afternoon, explore Future World.  Don’t miss Spaceship Earth or  Soarin’®! Soarin’® lets you feel the wind in your hair as you “hang glide” over California. See (and even smell!) the beautiful landscapes.

Dinner is at another restaurant of your choice.

Watch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth,  a stunning light and fireworks display, before returning to your hotel for the evening.

Marching Band Trip to Walt Disney World ®: Day 5

After breakfast, enjoy another morning at the Magic Kingdom® . Fire lasers to defeat Zurg on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin®, go on an interactive adventure in Enchanted Tales with Belle, and keep the ghosts at the Haunted Mansion® from following you home!

After lunch, it is sadly time to say goodbye to Walt Disney World®. Board the motorcoach to depart for the Orlando International Airport and fly home.

    I’m looking for information on band travel for parents. I am sending my 13-year-old son to Disney on a band trip and would like information on how to send money any tips for him . Basically any information that you can give parents while sending their children away without parental supervision.
